Women and Comics

I am working this project and I realized I need some names female writer and artist. Any suggestions.

Comics in the Park

I am going see Chip Kidd and David Mazzucchelli have bit of chat in Bryant Park tomorow afternoon. What’s make it all even cooler is Joe Q of the house of Marvel will be there too. Anyone jealous, yet?

Sandman vol. 1

I originally read Sandman Series while working at my local B&N. It was the recolored four-volume Absolute hardcover edition with slipcase. I pretend to re-shelve the one set in the store everyday.  Reading while hiding corners from co-workers, ignoring customers and barely working lost in the pages. Reading about the Lord of Dreams while trapped in my version of Hell gave me hope.

Recently, I bought the trade paper version on impulse, and still love it. Gaiman himself has summarized the plot of the series (in the foreword to Endless Nights) as “The Lord of Dreams learns, one must change or die, and makes his decision.” And so must we.

What I read on my summer vacation

Just look at him, who wouldn’t have crush!

Just look at him, who wouldn’t have crush!

Last night…

I spent the evening listening to David Mazzuchelli discussing his passion and his art. If he were my college professor, I would have serious crush by the end of the semester. I am not too sure I don’t have one now.
