So this morning I walk into the office out of the dreary rain and discovered that several awesome things had arrived in the mail.
- The F&Gs of A.D.: New Orleans After the Deluge arrived this morning. It looks really amazing. I think Josh N. is going to love how it printed. What’s amazing about this project is the subtle differences between two mediums that this story exist. I was a fan when it was on the Smith magazine site, but now it’s book what will be the reaction now.
- A friend sent me the links to sites that were talking about MoCCA event for David Mazzucchelli. David M. is as close to rock star that I have gotten near. As I worked the line for his signing, the fans’ excitement was palpable and they were little dizzy to be in his presence. I admit once I found who he was, I was little dazzle myself. Asked lot of fangirl questions and grinned like a bit of the fool. He laughed, but answered them. Once we got pass that, working Asterios Polyp was an eduction in color, form, and style. I can’t wait to check his show. Here is a like a review: http://www.artloversnewyork.com/zine/the-bomb/2009/06/06/david-mazzucchellimoccaopens-to-nite/
- And the last A, the most awesome A is ALEX ROSS’ ART WAS IN MY PRESENCE! YES, FOLKS, BE JEALOUS!
